  1. Oldtab Rough says:

I'm a Singaporean. I don't mind the hot weather, but it's the humidity that irks me. I don't mind marrying a Japanese girl, but I won't raise my kids in Japan. I got the impression that the society is very strict and pressurising.

  2. Titan World says:

General yamashita gold $300b back in 1945 supposedly still in Singapore some believe it is buried beneath shinto shrine and never left the island for philippines.

  3. Lone Wolf says:

“ I heard it is a very conducive environment to raise our children”
Me in my head: Better not come cause it’s going to be like hell

  4. Hiroshi Yamashita says:

I am raised here since young, Yes a Singaporean Japanese. Grandparent were from Japan, and no longer have any ties back HOME. They came here since 1893. Back then there were more Japanese than Chinese. No its not true that early settlers of Japanese decent were prostitutes, that is an invention of the Malayan Chinese, incidentally never set foot in Singapore. Yes we were treated very well by the Malay folks, no conflict at all unlike Malaya (west Malaysia) Race riots was invented by some Malayan politicians to engineer independence of Singapore. It is impossible for racial riot to happen since the two main race never had conflict, get what I mean?? Later Chinese and Indians adopted the culture of the locals (Malays and Japanese), that's why you find coming to Singapore is no different from arriving at Japan. The culture is almost identical, except for Singapore, English was the main spoken language. My grandma worked as a helper in an English family till the British left. Yes we lost our language as no one speaks Japanese anymore. When I was young boy, during Chinese New Year, we have many Japanese family friends visiting us, till Lee Kuan Yew came to power. Many Singaporean Japanese left (migrated), but the major exodus was when Goh Chok Tong became Prime Minister. Nope, not to Australia for good, but as a stepping stone. They went to some other location after a while in Australia. Sorry I can't reveal their final destination. Singapore government still want them back, but they have to search for themselves. The magic of Singapore has disappear, but their influence on Singapore can still be felt. (but it is slowly fading away, with so many foreigners here now) GETTING A JOB IN SINGAPORE:, if you think you can get away with Japanese bosses looking over your shoulders and those long hours with the bosses, or even accompany bosses for golf sessions over the weekend, yes this is still very alive here. You are still expected to obey your bosses like back in Japan. Long working hours is still the same as Japan, so don't expect any difference, still have to work that hard. To work around this, get a job in any other multinational company. There are plenty of employers willing to hire Japanese workers, as they work longer hours then most Asians, and can produce results. Try using the Internet under Job opportunities in Singapore if you have to come here. Good Luck, but don't ever give up your Japanese citizenship, if Singapore sink, you can still go back.

  5. Lam Par says:

Japanese: " Singapore has many Japanese, they look like us. " Actually, once upon a time, it is part of Japan. 🙄

  6. Killerpants1125 says:

Honestly just came here hoping to know if they had a good impression of us so it would be easier to get a BNB as i heard most of them don't like foreigners but glad to here they have a good impression of us.

  7. Bill Blinky says:

I am very interested in Japan & have Japanese friends that live there. So I found your work colleagues answers thought provoking. Being Japanese, do they give you the answers that you want hear or the truth (if you know what I mean).
Here in Australia I find there are Japanese that visit & can't wait to get back home to Japan. Then there are others that IF they can stay (and of course find employment), absolutely love the freedom and lack of pressure from bosses, family and so forth. For example, they can enjoy 4 weeks annual leave without the Japanese BS that applies pressure to 'donate' 50% of your holidays to the firm, or hang about late at night working 12-16 hour days, and feeling the need to go out drinking with the boss instead of going home to the wife & kids.
Saying all this makes me wonder why any Japanese want to hurry back home to Japan. I think they are under constant pressure, pressure, pressure. Which is why they can't stay awake on trains.

  8. K W LAI says:

Japanese and Singaporeans are keeping v good relationship and cooperation. We build the rapport since our independence in 1965. Japan is among the few advance countries at that time helping us in developments and industrialisation.

  9. Live till 💯 says:

gaijinhan make an episode on asking Japanese views on:
    (1) let Japanese children take major national exam at 12 yo
    (2) make English common language and Japanese as mother tongue
    (3) let as many as 1/3 of the workforce foreign labour
    (4) young couple must buy house before marriage

Such topics will bring out the differences better.

And try to get more cute gals to appear in your YouTube like the third one (what’s her name?), she is probably the key to boasting your viewership lol 😆

wish you well as a fellow Singaporean who also speaks Japanese.

  10. Live till 💯 says:

Interesting comments from Japanese. But take it with a pinch a salt. Japanese generally finds it difficult not to say something polite. It’s easier to hear their real voice at drink session in the comfort of familiar friends. Meaning Han, u didn’t buy them drinks, how to get the truth? 😂

  11. Clement Gome says:

I believe many of us had been to Japan and no doubt japan is definitely 100x 1000x in term of 'things to do' , 'Places for shopping' ,Japanese foods and many more , like we can travel to Tokyo many times never feel bored. But here in Singapore , I guess we all know our government designed it like ,all concentrated in the centre part . Most of the tourists would come only once and those who lived here for work ,later we told us that actually SG is bored to live in. I agreed because we would travel oversea (Bangkok, Taiwan, Korea , japan) when we have leaves 😂 that's why many says Singaporeans love to travel.

Japanese are really polite , they do not say something would hurt the feeling of others 👍 Best!! I guess we singaporean should improve this as we are very straight forward minded.

  12. G amer74 says:

İ won't say we look Chinese but are very pure. WE ARE CHINESE. At least he's referring to the majority population.

  13. arabesque2222 says:

The Japanese are still being too polite in this video. Would be nice to hear what they really think about Singapore and Singaporeans! But I think that would be a challenge if the interviewer doesn't know the interviewees at a very personal level.

  14. Yangbo Huang says:

Thanks for your video sharing, I’m from China and working Singapore, but I really love the Japanese culture

  15. Engmohidul Islam says:
